Owning a Boulder Designs franchise gives you unlimited creativity when working with your customers. Boulder Designs is a non-complicated franchise system coupled with low cost of entry and minimal inventory requirements and best of all, enjoyable to do. Boulder Designs trains you around our simple system to create custom boulders that can be used for name or address rocks, memorials, business signage, ranches, schools, parks, subdivisions; anywhere that signage is desired or needed. Our earth-friendly products are often allowed by local zoning regulations where other signage is not.


Other benefits include turnkey operation with excellent training and ongoing support; low-cost materials, supplies, and inventory; protected territories assure no oversaturated markets; custom transport trailer makes for easy delivery and installation; complete proprietary equipment package; co-op advertising and marketing package.

Investment Information

The initial investment in a Boulder Designs franchise package is $95,500. This includes training and ongoing support, equipment including a Boulder Designs production trailer, sales and marketing assistance, business guidance operations, and graphic design.

The monthly franchise royalty fee is a flat fee which makes payment easy to process. Most franchise businesses are required to pay a percentage of gross sales which can impede the process of payment.

The monthly royalty fee for Boulder Designs is structured as follows:

  • $495/month for the first year
  • $595/month for the remaining 9 years (10-year terms)

Boulder Designs offers special incentives for veterans which include:

  • $2,500 off the initial franchise investment fee;

If you purchase multiple franchises, incentives include:

  • $5,000 off the initial franchise investment fee;
  • 25% off the monthly royalty fee (ongoing).

Marketing and Training Support

Boulder Designs is committed to well rounded, specific training for our franchisees. The initial training program consists of spending a week at our corporate headquarters in Waco, Texas.  While at our coporate headquarters, we will identify and work with your strengths to get you ready to run your business as soon as training is completed. You only need to bring the following to the week long training session:

  • Excitement about new products
  • Enthusiasm to meet new people
  • Energized in your abilities
  • Eagerness to be part of a winning team

Our franchise administration personnel is a key component to your Boulder Designs operation. We have ongoing administration guidance to support your franchise. This includes items such as assisting with annual marketing reports, recording and compiling customer satisfaction surveys, and office requirements (marketing, advertising, bookeeping, etc.) to name a few. The corporate office also assists you with your operations which are critical to maximizing success for our Border Designs owners. From lead distribution, newsletters, to recording and retaining all leads and communication with your customers, Boulder Designs is committed to helping our business owners succeed.

Building a boulder is quite frankly a fascinating process. Our “Boulderology Bootcamp” gets you trained and ready to build your product and thereby your business. One day during the week of initial training at our headquarters is dedicated to teaching you how to use Boulder Designs equipment and uderstanding the proprietary additives process to create a strong, viable boulder.
